Project Overview
In 2023, Farmarea Industries completed a project involving the supply and installation of a complete AMB Rousset walnut processing line in the Telavi region of Georgia. The line covers the entire processing cycle, including walnut reception, cleaning, washing, green husk removal, drying, inspection, and sizing. Since the walnuts are harvested using a MONCHIERO 20125 walnut harvester, the project required a complete cleaning system capable of removing branches, stones, debris, and other impurities entering the process after mechanical harvesting. The main objective of the project was to establish a modern, high-capacity processing line capable of producing a high-quality product suitable for storage, further processing, and commercial sale.

Scope of Work
Farmarea Industries supplied and commissioned a complete AMB Rousset walnut processing line, including:
- TKD 17 m³ Receiving Hopper — receiving hopper with tractor compatibility and automatic feed-rate control.
- SB2 Stick Separator — removal of branches, large stones, and impurities larger than in-shell walnuts.
- L22 Washer — preliminary walnut washing system.
- BAP Stone Separator — removal of stones and heavy impurities using a water bath system.
- L38 Washer and Green Husk Remover — removes green husks while washing and polishing walnuts.
- BLOWER 3100 Air Separator — removes empty, lightweight, and low-quality walnuts.
- TA1 Inspection Table — visual inspection and removal of defective product.
- Buffer Storage Bins — temporary product storage between processing stages to ensure continuous operation.
- AMB Rousset Dryers (5 units) — dryers equipped with electronic temperature and humidity control for uniform drying.
- C37 Sizer — walnut sizing into four size categories.
- Conveyors and Elevators — complete transport system connecting all processing equipment.
Key Benefits of the AMB Rousset Line
- Complete Processing Cycle: All stages, from reception to sizing, are integrated into one technological system.
- High Cleaning Efficiency: The line effectively removes branches, stones, debris, empty walnuts, and other impurities before drying.
- Professional Washing and Husk Removal: Produces a cleaner product with improved appearance and marketability.
- Uniform Drying: Electronic control of temperature and humidity helps prevent over-drying and under-drying while ensuring consistent product quality.
- Reduced Labor Requirements: Automation of key operations decreases labor costs and increases operational efficiency.
- Preparation for Commercial and Export Markets: Consistent quality, cleanliness, and uniformity help meet the requirements of demanding buyers and export markets.
Processing Capacity
The washing section of the line processes between 4 and 5 tons of walnuts per hour. The line is designed for continuous high-volume processing while maintaining stable performance throughout all stages, from reception to sizing.
Project Outcome
As a result of the project, the facility received a fully integrated walnut processing line that enables quality control at every stage of production. The system produces cleaner, more uniformly dried, and commercially attractive walnuts, helping increase product value, reduce processing losses, and improve overall operational efficiency.
